Sarah was born on June 1st, 1658 in Portsmouth,Newport,RI. Sarah's father was Thomas BROWNELL and her mother was Anne BOURNE. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Rowland BROWNELL SIR and Ann Dorothy GREEN; her maternal grandparents were Richard BOURNE and Judith COWPER. She had four brothers and six sisters, named George, William, Robert, Thomas, Mary, Martha, Anne, Ann, Susanna and Susannah.
