Thomas was born about 1575 in Of Bedlay,Ayr.,Scotland. Thomas' father was Thomas BOYD BARON BOYD and his mother was Margaret Campbell CAMPBELL BARONESS BOYD. His paternal grandparents were Robert BOYD BARON BOYD and Margaret (Mariot) COLQUHOUN. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Andrew, Adam, John, James, Isabel, Marion and Agnes.
