Mehitable was born on August 31st, 1702 in West Haven,New Haven,Connecticut. Mehitable's father was Samuel BLAKESLEY and her mother was Sarah KIMBERLY. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel BLAKESLEY (BLAKESLEE) and Hannah POTTER; her maternal grandparents were Nathaniel HAYES and Mary KIMBERLY. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, Jonathan, James, Tilley, Miriam, Sarah, Anna, Mary and Anna. She was the third youngest of the ten children.
