Joseph Poirier 
Joseph was born in 1710 in Beaubassin, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.1 Joseph's father was Jean Baptiste Poirier and his mother was Marie Cormier. His paternal grandparents were Michel Poirier and Marie Boudret; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Cormier and Madeleine Gerauard. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Pierre, Jean Baptiste, Marguerite, Marie Angelique and Anne.-
