Louis was born on August 17th, 1713 in Berthier, Bap. Sorel, Quebec Province, Canada.1 Louis' father was Pierre Genereux and his mother was Marie-Francoise Dessureau. His maternal grandparents were Francois Dessureaux Dit Laplante and Marie Bouart. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Francois Ambroise, Antoine, Jean Baptiste, Joseph, Genevieve and Madeleine. He was the third youngest of the seven children.-
