‌Joseph and Desanges were married in a religious ceremony on February 26th, 1816 in St. Jean-Baptiste, PQ.  They had eight sons and six daughters, named Joseph, Francois, Pierre, Louis, Jean-Baptiste, Timothee, Hermine, Augustin, Desanges, Adelaide, Anne, Emelie, Marcelline and Marie-Louise.
