William Batson Whitehurst 
William Batson was born in 1739 in Beaufort County, NC. William Batson's father was Simon Whitehurst and his mother was Argent Cox. His paternal grandparents were Richard Whitehurst and Margaret Nicholas; his maternal grandfather was John Cox. He was an only child. He died at the age of 84 on March 26th, 1823 in Hawkins Co., TN.General Notes
