Joseph Carter Rosser 
Joseph Carter was born on July 29th, 1860 in Chatham County, North Carolina. Joseph Carter's father was Joseph John Rosser and his mother was Mary Ann Kelly. His paternal grandparents were William Micajah Rosser and Elizabeth Lawrence; his maternal grandparents were Abel Alexander Kelly and Elizabeth Dye. He was an only child. He died at the age of 65 on May 18th, 1926 in Lee County, North Carolina. He was buried in May 1926 in Morris Chapel Methodist Church.-
