Roderick Purvis

Roderick was born about 1778 in Martin Co., N.C.  Roderick's father was Lewis Purvis.  His paternal grandfather was Jesse Purvis. He had a brother named Lewis.  He was the older of the two children.  He died after 1850.

‌Roderick and Charlotte were married in a religious ceremony about 1796 in Edgecombe Co, NC.  They had a son named George Warren.
