Robert II Capet "The Pious" was born in Orleans, Loiret, Orleanais/Centre, France.  Robert II Capet "The Pious"'s father was Hugh, King of France Capet and his mother was Adelaide (Adela) of Poitou.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh "The Great", Duke of France Capet and Hedwiga of Germany; his maternal grandparents were William I "Towhead", Count of Poitou and UNKNOWN Adela (Adele) of Normandy.  He was an only child.  He died on July 20th, 1031 in Meulan, Aquitaine, France.  He was buried in St Denis Abbey, Seine, France.
