William was born in Dirriachy in the county Antrim, Northern Ireland. William's father was John Henshall and his mother was Elizabeth Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Henshall Henshall and Unknown Kendrick. He was an only child. He died in 1699.General Notes
