James was born on March 7th, 1786 in Edgefield Co, S.C 1. James' father was James Hargrove and his mother was Mary UNKNOWN. His paternal grandparents were Charles Hargrove and Mary Youngblood. He was an only child. He died at the age of 70 on February 22nd, 1857 in Jackson Co, Ga.General Notes
