William Cherry 
William was born in 1792 in Pitt County, North Carolina. William's father was Samuel Maund Cherry and his mother was Mary Moore. His paternal grandparents were Lemuel Or Samuel Maund Cherry and Gatsey Ann Llewellyn; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Moore and Mary Nixon. He had two brothers named Roderick and John. He died at the age of 44 in 1836 in Pitt Co.General Notes
