Ruth BAILEY was born on December 30th, 1903. Ruth BAILEY's father was John Lawrence Bailey and her mother was Alice Bowen. Her paternal grandparents were Warner Gorden Bailey and Mary Ann Gurganus; her maternal grandparents were Reubin Bowen and Mary Williams. She had two brothers and a sister, named Reuben Leland, Paul and Susan Katherine. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Lewis Henry, George Gorden, Minnie Louise, Marylou Vesta and Estelle Burnett.-
