William deMohun 
William was born in 1130 in Mohun, devon, England. William's father was William deMohun and his mother was Agnes deGaunt. His paternal grandparents were William deMohun and Adeliza; his maternal grandparents were Walter deGaunt and Matilda deBrittany. He was an only child. He died at the age of 46 in 1176.General Notes
He fortified his castle in behalf of Maud and made many incursions intothe neighboring country. For these services he had the honour of beingcreated Earl of Somerset and Dorset during Henry II reign, which title heenjoyed until his death. He was buried in the priory of Brewton of hisown foundation.
