Thomas was born in Coucy, France. Thomas' father was Enguerrand deCoucy and his mother was Ada deMarla. His paternal grandfather was Dreux deCoucy; his maternal grandfather was Liutgarde De Marla. He was an only child. He died in 1130.
They had a daughter named Millicent.
