Margrietje was born on January 24th, 1646 in Mmeppel Drenthe, Holland.  Margrietje's father was Lubbert Lubbertsen Van Westervelt and her mother was Geesie Grace Roelofse Van Houten.  Her paternal grandparents were Hendrik Wilhelm Van Westervelt and Unknown; her maternal grandparents were Roeloff Van Houten and Gerritje Van Nes. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Jan, Roelof Lubbertse, Lubbert, Maritie Lubbertse and Jan Juriense.  She died about 1742.
