John Saunders 
John was born about 1725. John's father was John Saunders and his mother was Mary. His paternal grandparents were Francis Saunders and Mary. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Francis, Thomas, Jesse, Laban, Robert, Elizabeth, Fereby and Millie. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died before 1783 in Chowan or Gates County, North Carolina.-
