William of Lincoln was born before 1101 in Bolingbroke, Lincolnshire, England.. William of Lincoln's father was Ld. Roger or Robert of Bolingbroke Romare and his mother was Lucia Taillebois. His maternal grandparents were Lord Ivo Taillebois and Lucia Malet. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Ranulf of Chester, Ranulf and Adeliza Alice. He died after 1153.General Notes
