Peter was born in Of Smallridge.  Peter's father was John Rawleigh Sir and his mother was Elizabeth Bamville.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Rawleigh Sir and Isabell Beaumond; his maternal grandfather was Randle Bamville.  He was an only child.
