His paternal grandparents were Pharaoh Pinudjem I of Egypt and Hanttwy of Egypt; his maternal grandparents were Pharaoh Psusennes I of Egypt and Wiay. He had a brother named Smendis II of Thebes. He died in 0969 BC.
