His paternal grandparents were Henry de Percy and Elizabeth de Mortimer; his maternal grandparents were Ralph Dawraby de Neville of Westmorland 1 and Joan Beaufort. He had a sister named Katherine. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 39 on March 29th, 1461 in Towtown, Yorkshire, England. He was buried in St Deny Church, York, Yorkshire, England.-
