John Mortimer

John was born about 1300 in Of Wigmore, Herefordshire, England. John's father was Edmund Mortimer and his mother was Margaret Fiennes. His paternal grandparents were Roger Mortimer and Maud Braose. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Roger IV, Hugh, Walter, Edmund, Isolde, Matilda, Maud, Joan, Margaret and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the eleven children.
