Phillip was born about 1056 in Montgomery, Montgomery, Wales.  Phillip's father was Roger De Montgomery Earl of Shrewsbury and his mother was Mabel Talvas Heiress Of Belleme. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Hugues De, Robert II (De Belleme) De, Roger II De, Arnulph De, Maude De, Emma, Sibyl and Mabel.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  He died in 1099 in Seige Of Antioch.
