Sihtric "Of the silken Beard"'s father was Olaf Kvaaran King of Dublin and York and his mother was Gormflaiyh of Naas.  His paternal grandfather was Sigtryg , King of Dublin & York; his maternal grandparents were Murchad , Lord of Naas and O'Mahony.  He was an only child.  He died in 1042.
