Judith of Aquitaine was born about 0846 in ,Flandres, Belgium.  Judith of Aquitaine's father was Emperor Karl II (The bald) Hre and her mother was Ermentrudeof Orleans.  Her paternal grandparents were Emperor Louis I (The debonaire) Hre and Jutta of Bayern; her maternal grandparents were Ct. Odo (Eudes) of Orleans and Engeltrudeof Orleans. She had a brother and four sisters, named The Stammerer, Hersent of Franks, Hersent of Franks, Rothildeof Kahlen and Rothildeof Kahlen.  She was the oldest of the six children. She had a half-sister named Rothaut of Germany.  She died after 0870 in ,Flandres, Belgium.

‌Judith of Aquitaine and Bras de fer (of the iron arm) were married in a religious ceremony in 0862.  They had two sons and a daughter, named The Bald, Raoul of Cambrai and Gunhilda of Flandres.
