Etienne III of Blois, known as The sage, was born about 1045 in Blois, Orleanais, France. The sage's father was Ct. Thibaud III of Blois and his mother was Alix of Crepi. His paternal grandparents were Ct. Eudes II of Blois and Ermengardeof Auvergne. He was an only child. He died due to killed by Turks on May 19th, 1102 in Ramulah, Holy Land.
