Aelfgifu was born in 1017. Aelfgifu's father was King Ethelred II (The Unready) England and her mother was Aelfgifu of Northumbria. Her paternal grandparents were King Edgar (The Peaceable) England and Queen Elfrida Elfthryth. She had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Edmund II "Ironside" King Of, Edmund II "Ironside", Edmund II, Edred, Ingelric, Elfgifu, Elfgifu and Goda. She died at the age of 81 in 1098.-
