Col. Ambrose Dudley 
Ambrose was born in 1649 in Norfolk, Va. Ambrose's father was Col. Richard Dudley and his mother was Mary Sewall. His paternal grandparents were Edward Dudley and Elizabeth Pritchard; his maternal grandparents were Richard Sewall and Mary Dugdale. He was an only child. He died after 1712 in Kingston, Gloucester, Va.General Notes
