Robert II Curthose Duke of Normandy 
Robert II was born in 1054 in Normandy, France. Robert II's father was King William I ('The Conquerer') de Normandy and his mother was Matilda de Flanders. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Henry I, Duke of Bernay, William II 'Rufus' Of, Cecilia, Adela Of, Gundred, Agatha, Princess of England, Adeliza and Princess of England. He had a half-brother named William 'The Elder' Of Nottingham. He died in Cardiff Castle, Glamorganshire, Wales. He was buried in St. Peters Church, Gloucester, England.General Notes
In 1096 he pawned Normandy to William so he could join the crusades of Pope Urban II. He was captured by his younger brother Henry in 1106 and held until he died. Defeated at the battle of Tenchebrai. Married on his way to Palestine.
