John Conklin 
John was born about 1674 in Rye, Westchester, New York. John's father was John Conckling and his mother was Helena. His paternal grandparents were Ananias Conkling and Mary Lavender. He had four brothers and a sister, named Nicholas, Deliverance, Samuel, Joseph and Catalyntje. He was the third oldest of the six children.-
