Agnes' father was George Bowes Knight and her mother was Dorothy Mallory. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Bowes and Elizabeth Aske. She had four brothers and a sister, named Robert, William, George, Henry and Elizabeth. She had eight half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Richard, Talbot, Thomas, Thomas, Francis, Francis, John, John, Anne (Ann), Dorothy, Elizabeth and Jane.-
