Ansbertus of Schelde, known as The Senator, was born about 0550 in Roma, Italy. The Senator's father was Ansbertus Ferrolus of Schelde and his mother was Blithilde. His paternal grandfather was Tonantius II Ferreolus. He was an only child. He died before 0611.
They had a son and a daughter, named Erchenaud of Schelde and Gertrudis.
