Alfred Ernest was born in 1871 in Ballarat VIC. Alfred Ernest's father was Charles Blee and his mother was Jane Bates. His paternal grandparents were Charles Blee and Mary Thorn. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Alfred, William Ernest, Charles Henry, William George, Walter Robert, Martha, Mary, Jane and Emma. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 39 in 1910 in Melbourne VIC.-
