BIOGRAPHY: Born in West Germany, Munich or Mecklenburg area. When William II began organizing the German State into an unequaled military system, John's parents wanted to avoid having their sons drafted, so they brought them to the US. John moved to Northern Illinois and took a job with the Hudson Motor Co (Racine, WI?). Between 1910 and 1920, moved his family to the New Lenox area where other members of his family were already living. He was a very headstrong, dictatorial man and during WWII was not exactly sympathetic to the US cause. He thought the Roosevelt administration was a joke.
