William Guyn 
William was born on September 25th, 1809 in ,Woodford,KY. William's father was Robert Guyn and his mother was Jane Black. His paternal grandparents were Robert Guyn and Jane Raburn; his maternal grandparents were Robert Black and Ann Spears. He had ten brothers and three sisters, named Robert, James, John, Hugh Spears, Samuel Raburn, Moses Campbell, Thomas Reed, Harvey, Andrew Rainey, Adam Rankin, Jane Spears, Louisa Ann and Paulina. He was the seventh youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 77 on May 7th, 1887 in ,Woodford,KY. He was buried in Guyn Cemetery,Woodford,KY.General Notes
Oct 29 1988 the William Guyn house built across the road from Robert Guyn's homestead circa 1840 was gutted by fire. The house was being restored by Robert Brandenburg (8th generation to live on the land), the GGGG Grandson of the original owner. The house was built in the Greek Revival style and was the centerpiece of Guyn Mill Historic District located at Paul's Mills road near Troy, Woodford, KY. The farm complex included this house, several outbuildings (icehouse, smokehouse, and stock barn), a general store, a log & frame blacksmith shop, a mill complex including a sawmill and a gristmill and a miller's house. The Mill complex is located on both sides of Clear creek. The Kentucky Heritage Commission commented that it represents the most intact visually cohesive 19th century family operated agricultural-industrial complex in Kentucky
