Beatrix was born about 1304 in Virneburg,Rhineland,Prussia. Beatrix's father was Rupert II Virneburg Count and her mother was Kunigunde Cuijck. Her paternal grandparents were Henry I Virneburg Count and Ponzette Oberstein; her maternal grandfather was Johann Cuijck. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Rupert III, Heinrich, Gerhard, Johann, Werner, Kunegunde, Matilda, Ponzette, Elisabeth and Margaret. She was the second youngest of the eleven children.-
