Carlos' father was Tomas Toro Zambrano y Ugalde and his mother was Luciana Escobar Lillo. His paternal grandparents were Alonso Toro and Sebastiana Ugalde y Lopez de Uroine. He was an only child.
They had a son named Mateo.

Mateo was born on September 20th, 1727 in Santiago chile. He died at the age of 83 in February 1811.
