James De was born about 1105 in Harcourt,Eure,Normandy,France. James De's father was Richard Hasculf De Saint Hillary and his mother was Mrs. Hasculf St. Hilary. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert De Tonebridge and Roberta de Bolebac. He had a half-brother named James Du Harcourt De. He died before 1154 in Field Dalling,,Eng.1 General Notes
