He had two brothers named Heinrich I, Count Of and Johann I. He had nine half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Eberhard V, Count Eberhard of, Count Hugo II of, Count Marquard of, Count Johann I of, Count Heinrich I of, Count Simon I of, Count Walram of, Count Eberhard of, Hildegunde Von, Adelheid, Agnes Von and Princess Agnes of.  He was buried in Kloster Schwabenheim,Rheinhessen,Hesse-Darmstadt.1
