Odon was born about 1144 in Poznan,Poznan,Poland.1   Odon's father was Mieszko III "The Old" Prince of Great Poland and his mother was Princess Elisabet of Hungary.  His paternal grandparents were Boleslaw III "Crooked Mouth" Prince of Poland and Salome Countes of Berg-Schelklingen; his maternal grandparents were Almos (Vak Almos) Prince Of Hungary and Sophie of Looz. He had a brother and three sisters, named Prince Stephan of, Princess Ludmilla of, Judyta Princess of and Elzbieta Piast Of.  He was the oldest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Prince Boleslaw of, King Wladislaw III of, Prince Miesko of, Anastazja, Zwinislawa Princess Of, Princess Marija of, Princess Anastazja of, Princess Salomeo of and Princess Swinislawa of.  He died on April 20th, 1194.1

‌Odon and Vyacheslava Yaroslavna, Princess of were married in a religious ceremony before 1187.2   They had two sons and a daughter, named Wladislaw Odonic, Otton, Prince of and Ryksa, Princess of.
