Rosa's father was Antonio Patiño y Rivas and her mother was Maria Morales de la Camara. Her paternal grandparents were Juan Antonio Patiño and Maria de Rivas; her maternal grandparents were Diego Martin Morales and Juana De La Cámara. She was an only child.
They had a daughter named Maria del Carmen.
