Thrand was born about 0385 in Of,Raumsdal,,Norway. Thrand's father was Norr Thorrasson king and his mother was Mrs-Norr Thorrasson. His paternal grandparents were Thorri Snaersson King Kvenland and Mrs-Thorri Snaersson. He had two brothers named Raum "The Old" and Gardur.
