Ailgenan of was born in 0575.  Ailgenan of's father was Donnghal of Mumhan and his mother was Frigida * of Uladh.  His paternal grandfather was Donnghus of Mumhan. He had a brother named Snedghus of.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 54 in 0629.
