Mithradates I's father was Phraates III Parthia. His paternal grandparents were Sanatruces Parthia and Isbubarza Parthia. He had a brother named Orodes II. He died in 1955.
‌Mithradates I and Princess were married in a religious ceremony. They had a son named Ariobarzanes I.
