Siegmund, Count Of was born about 1152 in Of Alt-Leiningen,Pfalz,Bavaria.  Siegmund, Count Of's father was Emich III LEININGEN and his mother was Elisabeth Von EBERSTEIN. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Hermann, Count Of, Eberhard, Count Of, Friedrich Emich, Adolf, Count Of, Emich, Count Of, Elisabeth Von, Alberat, Countess Of and Luitgard, Countess Of.  He was the youngest of the nine children.
