Elger II Count of was born in 1175. Elger II Count of's father was Count Elger I of Honstein-Ilfeld and his mother was Bertrada Princess of Honstein. His paternal grandparents were Count Adelger of Ilfeld and Bertradis Princess of Ilfeld; his maternal grandfather was Konrad Count of Honstein. He had a brother named Count Friedrich of. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 44 on September 16th, 1219.-
