Ludmilla zu was born in 1133 in <,Hirschberg,Schlesien,Preussen>.1 Ludmilla zu's father was Baron Hermann III von Hirscher and her mother was Princess Katerina of Hirscher-Sargans. Her paternal grandfather was Georg II von Hirscher; her maternal grandparents were Count Eberhard II of Hirscher-Sargans and Princess Maria of Stadelburg. She had a brother and four sisters, named Janos von, Anna zu, Maria zu, Katerina zu and Heilwig zu. She was the third youngest of the six children.-
