Christopher I King of was born in 1219 in Roskilde,Copenhagen,Denmark.  Christopher I King of's father was Valdemar II "Sejr" King Of Denmark and his mother was Berengaria Princess of Portugal.  His paternal grandparents were Valdemar I 'the Great' King Of Denmark and Sofiya Vladimirovna Of Novgorod; his maternal grandparents were Sancho I Rey de (El Popular) Portugal and Aldonza Princesa de Aragon. He had two brothers named Eric IV Ploughpenny King of and Abel King of.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 40 on May 29th, 1259.
