Elizabeth was born in 1248 in Buchan Aberdeenshire Scotland. Elizabeth's father was Alexander , 2nd Earl of Buchan Comyn and her mother was Elizabeth de Quincy. Her paternal grandparents were William , 1St Earl Of Buchan Comyn Sir justicair and Margaret Heiress Of Buchan Countess; her maternal grandparents were Roger , 2nd Earl Of Winchester de Quincy and Helen (Elena) de Galloway. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Alexznder II Sheriff of Aberdeen, Alexander of Buchan Sheriff of Aberdeen, Alexander, John, Agnes, Elena, Elizabeth and Marjory.General Notes
